A driver app that works without signal
An offline-first mobile app that kept drivers moving through dead zones and doubled jobs completed per shift.
Drivers lost hours a day to dropped connections
Northline runs regional routes through long stretches with no coverage. The existing app needed a live connection for every action, so drivers queued up at truck stops to sync paperwork and proof of delivery, and dispatch flew blind for hours at a time.
Offline first, sync when you can
We rebuilt the app around a local data store. Every job, signature and photo is captured on the device and reconciled automatically when a connection returns. Conflict rules were agreed with dispatch up front so nothing silently overwrote anything else.
Twice the jobs, no more truck-stop syncing
Jobs completed per driver per shift rose 2.4x within the first quarter. Proof-of-delivery disputes fell to near zero because photos and signatures were captured at the door rather than reconstructed later.
