Coaching for people who actually run the business

Most coaching is advice from someone who has never had a Tuesday like yours. I run four businesses. Every fortnight I will be the person asking whether you did the thing you said you would do.

4
businesses I run today, not case studies
90
minute sessions, numbers on the table
3
commitments a session, each with a name and a date
6
areas re-scored every quarter
0
lock-in. If it stops being useful, you stop
How the three fit together

Three steps, one scorecard

The six areas you score in the webinar workbook are the same six we score in the Health Check, and the same six we re-score every quarter once coaching starts.

01

The free AI webinar

Ninety minutes on where AI actually saves an Australian small business time and money. You score your six areas in the workbook.

02

The free Business Health Check

Ninety minutes, one-to-one. We score the same six areas properly and name the three things holding the business back.

Coaching, if you want it

One-to-one, or the Growth Circle. Same six areas, re-scored every quarter, so you can see whether it is working.

The actual problem

The problem is not knowing

Almost every owner I sit down with can name the thing holding the business back inside ninety seconds. Quotes that never got followed up. A person who should have been let go last year. Prices that have not moved since 2022.

Nobody needs a consultant to find that. The issue is that Wednesday happens. A job goes sideways, someone rings at 6am, and the thing you were going to fix stays unfixed for another quarter. Then another.

That is the only problem coaching genuinely solves, not by telling you something you did not know, but by making sure the important thing gets done ahead of the urgent one, every single fortnight.

It starts with the free Health Check →
The two formats

Same structure, different intensity

Most people start on Momentum. A few move up. Some move down once things settle, which is a good sign. We work out which fits after the Health Check, not before.

Momentum
Most start here

For owners who know roughly what needs doing and need someone holding the line.

Ninety minutes a month
A fortnightly twenty-minute check-in
One session in person each quarter
Email and text between, answered the same business day
Re-score of the six areas every quarter
Intensive
Mid-change

For owners in the middle of something, a growth push, a restructure, getting out of the day to day.

Ninety minutes every fortnight
A weekly fifteen-minute call
One in-person session a month
Half-day planning at the start and again at six months
Re-score of the six areas every quarter

Fees are not published here. We talk them through on the call, once we both know what you actually need. Month to month, no lock-in.

Inside a session

Not a workshop. Not a slide deck.

You bring what is in front of you, we go through the numbers, and we finish with three things written down, each with a name and a date. The next session opens with those three things.

01
First
Review last time’s three

Out loud. Did it happen, yes or no. No softening it. The accountability at the front is what makes the commitments at the back mean anything.

02
Then
Work the constraint

The one thing we are fixing this quarter, with the numbers on the table.

03
Last
Agree the next three

A name and a date on each, before you leave the room.

Why this is different

Coaching that can pick up a keyboard

Most coaches hand you a plan and wish you luck. The plan sits on your desk, because you are a builder, or a nurse, or you run a café.

Ascentix has a development and implementation team

When the constraint we have named is your website, your enquiry handling, your follow-up sequences or your job system, that work can actually get built, instead of joining a list you will feel guilty about. Never an obligation.

AI is part of the work, not a separate product

Two years of testing it across four real businesses, and the honest version of what survived. Where it saves you hours it goes into the plan. Where it is a distraction I will tell you.

Four businesses, not four case studies

When you describe your problem, I am usually not hearing it for the first time. Alongside that: ex-McKinsey engagement lead, ICF-certified coach, and someone who has met a payroll.

Home care
Regulated, rostered, audited. What compliance really costs in hours.
Construction
Quoting, variations, subbies, weather. Cash that arrives late.
Marketing & IT
What agencies charge for, and what it is actually worth.
Hospitality
Rosters, thin margins, and the difference a bad Saturday makes.
Fit

Who this is for, and who it is not

A good fit
Owners of businesses with roughly one to fifty people
Trades and contracting, allied health and care, hospitality, professional services, retail
Busy and profitable enough to survive, and stuck where growth costs you your weekends
People who want to work fewer hours personally and earn more per hour they do work
×Not a good fit
Anyone in genuine cash trouble. That is an accountant or a restructuring adviser first, and early rather than late
Anyone looking for a guaranteed return. I do not offer one
Anyone who wants the work done for them without changing how they operate
Startups with no revenue yet. There is nothing to diagnose
Common questions

The ones people actually ask

Coaching is educational and motivational support. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and it is no substitute for your accountant, your bookkeeper or a lawyer.

How long do people usually stay?+

There is a short minimum term, because the first ninety days are mostly setup and the results show up after that. Beyond it, month to month. If it stops being useful, stop.

What happens on the free strategy call?+

Thirty minutes. You tell me what is going on, I tell you honestly whether coaching is the right answer, and if it is not I will tell you what is. If it looks like a fit, the next step is the free Health Check.

Why is there no pricing on this page?+

Because what you need is not clear until we have done the Health Check, and a number without that context is meaningless. We go through it properly on the call, in writing, with no obligation.

Do you guarantee results?+

No, and I will not. Anyone who guarantees a business outcome is guessing. What I hold myself to is two things: more revenue per hour you personally work, and fewer hours you personally work. We measure both.

In person or online?+

Both. In-person sessions run in Penrith and around Western Sydney; everything else is by video and phone, anywhere in Australia.

Can I do one-to-one and the Growth Circle?+

Yes, and some people do. Worth talking through on the call rather than deciding upfront.

The honest bit

Ninety days from now, most of a plan does not happen

"

Not because you are not committed. Because Wednesday happens, a job goes sideways, and someone rings at 6am.

The only thing that reliably changes that is someone turning up on a fixed day and asking whether you did it. That is the entire argument for coaching, and it is the only one I will make.

Start with a conversation

Thirty minutes, no cost, no obligation. If I do not think I am the right help for what you are dealing with, I will say so on the call and point you at someone who is.
